Transformation of Public Realm
Transformation of Public Realm
High Five For Heritage complements wider investment taking place across Burnley’s Civic Quarter.
Our partner organisation and the highways authority, Lancashire County Council, have ambitious plans for Burnley’s Civic Quarter and are currently delivering a programme of public realm improvements. These include widening pavements, upgrading highway and footway materials, and introducing new trees, planting, and street furniture.
Although these works are being delivered separately from the High Five For Heritage Scheme, we have identified them as a complementary intervention because they align closely with our proposals. Together, these projects will create a cohesive and transformative improvement to the area, delivering a significant positive impact on the Civic Quarter.
